Reiki - what to expect online

A Reiki session is a gentle, calming experience - think of it as a reset for your energies.

 

Here’s what happens:

 

Arrival & Chat

Before the session, I will connect with you via WhatsApp, Teams, a call, or even just email or messaging. If you’d like a live session (where we are connected during the healing) or a set time when I work while you rest quietly on your own, please let me know.

 

I may ask:

 

  • How you’ve been feeling physically, emotionally, and energetically
  • If there are specific areas you want to focus on (anxiety, sleep issues, pain, maybe emotional healing, etc.)

 

The tone is calm, warm, and supportive. But there is no pressure to disclose this to me and any information will be held in confidence (please note the only time I would need to share this with an outside agency (such as a GP) is if there was any indication that you were at risk of harming yourself or others).

 

Getting Comfortable

All you need to do is choose a quiet, comfortable space where you won’t be disturbed - you can use a chair or lie down. You may wish to have a blanket on hand, pick some relaxing music or just be still with your thoughts.

 

The Reiki Process

This happens by entering a meditative state myself at my location and I use intention, visualisation and a body map which all help me to connect with your energy field. Distance healing works on the principle that energy is not limited by time or space, allowing healing to occur across any distance; around the World.

 

What You Feel

Experiences vary. You might feel:

  • Deep relaxation
  • Emotional release (tears, laughter, or just a sense of relief)
  • Subtle energy shifts (a sense of lightness or groundedness)
  • Or sometimes... nothing much at all in the moment - but a shift later

 

When the treatment is brought to a close, I will encourage you to ground yourself whilst I disconnect from your energies - feel free to drink some water, and if you wish, we can chat about what came up during the session.

 

Some people feel super calm, some energised, others a bit 'floaty' - but most walk away feeling lighter and more balanced.
